At Bellator 298, former interim Bellator welterweight champion Logan Storley took on Brennan Ward in the main event. The non-title bout was scheduled for five five-minute rounds.
Storley hoped to rebound from the last loss that cost him his chance at becoming the undisputed titleholder. Yaroslav Amosov defeated him by unanimous decision at Bellator 291 on Feb. 25 to remain the Bellator Welterweight Champion and extend his undefeated record to 27-0.
The former champion was able to get Ward to the ground and land several punches until he stopped him for a TKO.
In the co-main event, heavyweights Valentin Moldavsky and Steve Mowry had their rematch. Their first fight ended with a no contest after Moldavsky accidentally eye-poked Mowry in the first round at Bellator 284: Gracie vs. Yamauchi on Aug. 12, 2022. This time Moldavsky dominated Mowry for three rounds to win the fight.
