Bare Knuckle FC’s latest venture, BKFC Europe, will launch later this year as a part of the promotion’s worldwide expansion.
BKFC announced the news of its European sub-promotion in a press release on Friday.
BKFC Europe will hold open tryouts for fighting prospects in Sofia, Bulgaria on June 10th. Those hoping to potentially earn their shot in bare-knuckle fighting can find more information at BKFCEurope.com.
BKFC’s announcement comes just a few weeks before the promotion returns to the UK for BKFC 46 on July 1st. The Newcastle event features a welterweight matchup between Rico Franco and Kaleb Harris.
Bare Knuckle FC Continues To Expand Globally
BKFC President David Feldman spoke about the European promotion in a statement.
“We’re very excited to announce this tremendous expansion of BKFC into Europe. We’ve promoted four sensational, sold-out events in the United Kingdom in the last year and it’s clear from these events and the enormous growth in our subscriber base in Europe that there is a massive appetite for more high-quality bare-knuckle fighting events across the continent. As we approach our five-year anniversary on June 2, we’re promoting our biggest and most successful events and our announcement today validates our full-steam-ahead approach to the future.”
It’s been an eventful calendar year for BKFC. The promotion is fresh off of arguably its most successful event with BKFC 41, featuring a main event between former UFC fighters Mike Perry and Luke Rockhold.
BKFC Europe will join PFL Europe as two of the top talent-building fight promotions on the continent.
