Former UFC champion Holly Holm will co-headline the July 15th UFC event with Mayra Bueno Silva after Miesha Tate withdrawed this week.
News of the Holm vs. Silva booking was first reported by Ariel Helwani during The MMA Hour.
Holm will make a quick turnaround after winning her return fight earlier this year. She defeated Yana Santos at UFC San Antonio via unanimous decision.
Holm got back in the win column after a lengthy hiatus following her split decision loss to Ketlen Vieira. Some felt that Holm deserved the nod on the judges’ scorecards after she outlanded Vieira for the majority of the fight.
As for Tate, she withdrew due to an undisclosed injury. She hasn’t fought since a loss to Lauren Murphy in her flyweight debut at UFC Long Island.

Before the controversial defeat to Vieira, Holm defeated Raquel Pennington and Irene Aldana in back-to-back fights. She’s looking to earn another shot at the bantamweight title and a potential rematch with Amanda Nunes.
Holm will face a tough test in the form of the surging Silva. She has won three-straight fights, including an impressive submission of Lina Länsberg in February.
Silva earned a spot in the UFC by earning a victory on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil 1.
The co-main event features former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos facing Vicente Luque. The card takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
